Incorporate bike/pedestrian pathways into the slowed roadway.

Develop innovative transportation modalities that enhance, rather than degrade the beauty of our county.

Short sea shipping could carry the same goods in and out of Humboldt County. Many new jobs would be created.

Electric vehicles are the future.

Abandon plans to bring big box stores to Humboldt County. The era of mass consumption is over.

Support local businesses. Buy locally produced food and manufactured products.

Build a strong economy on what we have - redwoods, fisheries, human resources focused on bringing about new technologies.

Use our unique qualities to draw people here for vacations and conferences. Encourage them to spend money in local businesses.

In the 2 years it would take to implement the  RGP, we could obtain federal funding  towards appropriate port development in conjunction with a maritime highway and an  R&D facility.
